Receiver in Event Linkage - SWETYPV

The receiver is a free field which is simply passed on to the function
module, where it may or may not mean something.
In the case of e.g. SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT, the receiver indicates the WF
to start. You can pass other info, depending on the FM. If the receiver
field is ignored by the receiver function, it can be useful to put something
descriptive in there, that just makes it easier to spot in the event table.

Thank you Deidre. Both BASIS and I have tried this numerous times, always
hitting the SAP enter icon, never thinking to hit the enter key. I have yet
to figure out when to hit the enter button, execute button, copy button,
check button, or the enter key, as it depends were you are as to which one
works. Never a dull moment, huh! Thanks for the reminder. It did work.
Thanks!!!

the Receiver Missing is just a Warning message. If you hit Enter it will
Save your entry.

I used this functionality this morning.

Good afternoon everyone. In our old client 3.1h, (we are now in 4.6c), we
could create event linkages without a receiver and attach a function module
to it. In 4.6c, it will not allow us to create an event linkage without a
receiver. Is there a way around this, i.e., an existing receiver type that
does nothing that we can use. If not can I create a dummy type receiver and
if so is there an object type that is better to use than another, any
suggestions? Has anyone else ran into this situation???
