New work item notifications in SAP

Hi all -
 
I was wondering if there is a way for users to be notified upon login to
SAP of new work items in their inbox.  I imagine it would work by setting
all dialog steps to Express Priority and just letting the notification
window pop up that way, but I was wondering if there was also a sapoffice
setting or something similar where you could get a notification window upon
login to SAP.
 
If anybody knows, would you please pass the information along?
