Accounts receivable workflow - tips & triks

Hello all,
 
I am after some general advice / tips and trick relating to the
implementation of Accounts receivable workflows. I am keen to understand
the application areas within AR and particular problems some of you may
have experienced while building / developing AR workflows. Any information
is welcome.
