idoc status workflow processing

Hi, we are using the status idocs on our outbound idoc interfaces.  We =
recently tried to reprocess an outbound idoc and the corresponding =
status idoc reflected a status of 64 - ready to be processed.  We know =
the outbound idoc processed successfully, but the status idoc did not =
reflect the correct status information.  We tried reprocessing just the =
status idoc, but they remain in status 62 - IDoc inbound procg: Work =
item 000008252318 started.  When I check the workflow logs for this =
particular workitem, it says it completed successfully.  Everything =
looks OK, except the Status of the Status idoc won't update to 53 - =
Application document posted.
Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?
