Lock infotype 2001

Hi Nat
The problem is more complex than I thought.
If the user does not have access to SAP, the superior must capture the =
leave
and no workflow must run ie automatic approval. However, if you use the
profile with 'S', this is not going to work! Only the next level up =
will be
able to approve ie the workflow will still have to run.
Yes, the idea was to let the manager do this manually.

Hi Jose,
Below please find comments from one of our HR guys.

If they want the user to create an automatic locked entry for infotype =
2001
they do this through the profile. You will enter an indicator on the
authorisation level of infotype 2001 (can't exactly remember but I =
think it
is an S) and then whoever has this profile assigned to them will only =
be
able to create a locked entry for 2001. Just remember though if you =
are
using workflow, how are you going to unlock the record or will the =
manager
do this manually?

The suggestion is that the approver have the authorisation to unlock =
the
record on approval.

Hi every-one
We want to create a leave workflow, using the ABSENCE object - the user
enters his info through PA61 IT2001 and saves. This must then be =
approved by
the manager. To get this to work, we would need to lock the infotype on
saving. I know some of the other infotypes one can lock for eg IT0008, =
but
I'm not aware of being able to do this with IT2001. Does any-one =
perhaps
have a solution?
