SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S ??

Hi Phil,
You really shouldn't be calling either of these function modules if there
is any better option as these are internal function modules and therefore
are liable to change without notice.

Have a look and see if you have any WAPI function modules in your release
that could be used instead (they start with SAP_WAPI...) such as SAP_WAPI_EXECUTE_WORKITEM.
Check what your program is actually doing though because the step may not
need to actually execute a work item but just complete it in which case another
WAPI may be more appropriate.

Subject: SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S ??

hi all,

4.5b Package 48.

We have a workflow written by a 3rd party which is calling this FM as part
of a background task.

We are now experiencing many errors which appear to be related to this FM
which in SE37 reports does not exist but SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S_NEW does exist.

My question is should the routine being called now be SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S_NEW
and can anyone advise me as to what it is that these FM's actually do ?

Thanks in advance.

Phill Hopkins
