Permanent deadline monitoring job

Chris,

I certainly don't know about "best practices", but ours currently runs every
three (3) minutes and, touch wood, we haven't had any problems with it so
far.

I would experiment with it and see how long it runs for. In our enviroment,
the job itself usually runs in under 1 second and, rarely, as long as 2
seconds. If your deadline job runs for several minutes or more, I would
discuss this with your basis people - ie you may be almost continually using
up a background process.

Subject: Permanent deadline monitoring job

Can anyone offer any "best practices" or recommendation for how often the
deadline monitoring job (SWWDHEX) should run?
This job kicks off all of our "Waiting" workitems and is currently set to
schedule itself to run 90 minutes after the last job. I am thinking I want
to
reduce this to 30 minutes or less.

Any thoughts/lessons learned?

Thanks!
Chris
