Hi,

Just another option:

Here at Powercor, we have our whole SAP support team set up as the =
workflow
administrator and we do this by assigning an Org Unit rather than =
individual
to the worklflow administrator in customising.

Hi Brad/Martin,=20
Just watch out that you don't close yourself off from future =
functionality.
For instance the email assigned to WF-BATCH is used when receiving=20
offline-processed work items (e.g. processed via Outlook, Lotus Notes, =
etc.)
into the system for automated processing. =20
Also in some releases the configuration you describe (of assigning same
email address to WF-BATCH and for auto-forwarding) is not possible.=20
It should be enough to use the auto-forwarding functionality itself
to send it to your administrator group,=20
you should have a separate email address for the wf-batch user. =20

My thought process was:
1) In SU01 for user WF-BATCH put a group e-mail list for Internet mail
(SMTP).
2) In SWDC set up user WF-BATCH as the standard workflow administrator.
3) Set up an Automatic Forwarding address for user WF-BATCH with the =
same
group e-mail list as #1 above. Any workflow errors would go to the =
support
staff (contained in group e-mail list) and they could log on the system =
with
their own userid to take action.

brad:

in general WF-BATCH is set up as a background user with SAP_ALL and
SAP_NEW. the user executes all background tasks during a workflow in =
the
system. but ... it is a background user. hence, one cannot really log =
on
with that user id and work with it, i.e. receive and read SAPoffice
messages. i would recommend to enter a dialog user ID as the workflow
administrator. that way, a user will actually be able to log on to the
system, read the messages, and take action on them.

i hope this helps.

I'm looking at putting user WF-BATCH as the standard workflow
administrator in tran SWDC.=A0 How does workflow notify the user =
workflow
administrator of errors (I'm assuming workflow=A0just sends the
notifications to WF-BATCH's inbox)?

Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad, at the other SAP installation at TI we set up a built a =
position
for WF administrators and used that position in SWDC.=A0 That =
worked.=A0 Also
in su01 under address/other communication, for userid wf batch we put a =
ti
group list TI-workflow at list.ti.com=A0which distributes to the TI group =
list
in outlook. Hope that helps

We're on 4.0B and ever since we implemented Workflow I have listed =
myself
(userid) as the Workflow Administrator via tran SWDC.=A0 Now that =
everything
is stable I would like for our support group to share in the =
wealth!=A0 So
I'd like for all of the error messages (we don't get very much at all
anymore) to go our entire support group (6 people).=A0 I thought about
setting the group up as an org unit, but that seems like too much just =
for
this.=A0 I also thought about creating a support group userid which =
could
contain our support group e-mail address, and this just referencing =
that
support group userid instead of mine.=A0 Just wondering what other =
people
are doing in regards to this?
