Execute URL in Work Item Method

I am wondering if it is possible to create a work item method that would =
open an IE window for a specific URL.  The user needs to perform some =
research on a website and then return to SAP.  I'm hoping this could be =
done the way a link can be set up on a user menu for a web address.  We =
are on 4.6C and the work item would be executed from the SAP inbox.
