Publishing Events from R/3 to APO

Hi Louise,

if you raise an event using SWE_EVENT_CREATE you need a COMMIT WORK
statement after the function call (receivers are called via transactional
RFC).

If you call SWE_EVENT_CREATE with DESTINATION <any>, there is no COMMIT WORK
at your remote system. With this, it seems that the event is not raised.

to solve this, you have 2 possibilities:
- call SWE_EVENT_CREATE with parameter START_RECFB_SYNCHRON = 'X'
  (not that good)
- write an own function module that calls SWE_EVENT_CREATE and that
contains a COMMIT WORK after the event is triggered.
Call your own module via DESTINATION <any>.
  (better solution)

hope that helps
Stefan

Subject: Publishing Events from R/3 to APO

We are trying to publish an event from R/3 to APO with a method which calls:
SWE_EVENT_CREATE DESTINATION <APO RFC DESTINATION>.

We are running the function module from a background method on BUS1001
(Material Master) setting objtype = 'BUS10001' (Product Master) and objkey =
Material Master objkey.

The SWE_EVENT_CREATE function module is flagged to be called remotely and we
are confident that APO and R/3 RFC connections themselves are working.

Does anybody have any idea why we cannot publish the event on APO as
required?
