Workitem set to complete but workflow does not continue

Hi.
 
We have a workflow with a userdecision and several steps after the decision.
One of the workflows seem to have "stopped" but we find no error in the logs
and therefore cannot use the restart after error functionality. The workitem
(userdecision) has status completed, but the workflow does not continue with
the next step which is a container operation.
 
Any tips on how to get the workflow to continue?
