Missing Error Messages

Hi everyone!
 
Wondering if anyone has had this problem:
 
I have extended the RELEASE method of FIPP to create an EXCEPTION when a
certain condition occurs.  I know the error processing is working correctly
because the error message appears when executed in Workplace.  However, in
the R/3 GUI, the error message does not appear!
 
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.  Thanks!
