Purchase Requisition Workflow Problem

Hello,

whta kind of approval technique are you using: single item release or complete
requisition release? You can define this via IMG and I suppose the role
resolution tries to find out the maximum of both if you use complete requisition
release and not single item release?

You can also find it out if you release the purchase requisition: If a popup
appears saying that you are releasing the whole requisition the wrong general
release technique is used.

Good luck,

Markus

Subject: Purchase Requisition Workflow Problem

Workflow Gurus,

I have the following problem with a Workflow for Requisition Release and Role
Resolution in version version 4.6B:

Standard Role
-------------- next part --------------
=FB Department Head (Role Type=3DResponsibilities)

The only Container Element is EBKN FISTL (Funds Center)

I have two Responsibilities set up:
1 is Funds Center of U0110024 to U0110024
       Agent Assignment to user1
2 is Funds Center of U0110011 to U0110011
       Agent Assignment to user2

I used Workflow Template wf_req_rel (Workflow for requisition release) =
#
00000038.

I created a Requisition (configured with Classification) with two line =
items:
one referencing each of the two Funds Centers (via their Cost Centers).=
 I
released both line items changing them to a Release Code that is
Workflow-relevant. My Workflow started, however, it sent work items for=
 the
release of both line items to both users. Looking at my Responsibilitie=
s, I
would have expected user1 to get line item 1 as a work item and user2 t=
o get
line item 2 as a work item. If I create a Requisition with only line it=
em 1
(and the single Funds Center), it only goes to user1 (not user2). When =
I add a
second line item (with a different Funds Center), it acts as if Role
Resolution determines all agents of the entire document at one time and=

creates a work item for each line item for each agent. I use Business O=
bject
BUS2009 and my Triggering Event is RELEASESTEPCREATED.

Our desire is for an agent (the Department Head) to only see work items=

generated by his/her Funds Center Responsibility and not those of the o=
ther
agents of other line items. Furthermore, we would like to code the
responsibilities as Standard Role Responsibilities (as opposed to insid=
e the
Purchasing Module). We have far too many agents and Fund Centers to dec=
lare
them in the Purchasing Module and not be able to use them for other Wor=
kflows
in other modules.

What am I missing or misunderstanding about Role Resolution or Purchase=

Requisition Workflows? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
