ASUG Financial Management & Business Technology/Procurement
Combined Fall Group Meeting
October 25-27, 2000
Westin Innisbrook Resort, Tampa, FL
 
The 2000 Fall ASUG Financial Management Process Group meeting is being =
held
in conjunction with the joint Business Technology & Procurement Process=
 
Group meeting.  The Financial Management Group meeting is scheduled for=
 
October 23-25, 2000.  The Business Technology/Procurement Process Group=
 
meeting is scheduled from October 25-27, 2000. Registration will be
available for the entire week for those interested in participating in =
both
groups for all five days.
 
MEETING LOCATION
The meeting will be held at the Westin Innisbrook Resort in Tampa Bay,
Florida. The resort is located just south of Tarpon Springs and north o=
f
Clearwater. Tampa's International Airport is east-southeast, 23 miles
(approximately 45 minutes) from the Westin Innisbrook.

PROGRAM INFORMATION
Financial Management
The Financial Management Process Group consists of six Interest Groups:=
 
FI/CO, Manufacturing Cost and Reporting, Fixed Assets, Product Tax,
Corporate Tax and Consolidations. There will be breakout sessions withi=
n
each of these Interest Groups to discuss latest updates in SAP
functionality and enhancement requests and to view presentations by SAP=
 
development staff and member companies. FM is working on developing joi=
nt
sessions with Procurement and Business Technology to capitalize on comm=
on
interests and individual expertise. A newcomers session will be provide=
d to
familiarize first time attendees with ASUG and the various FM Interest
groups. ASUG will host a Financial Management networking reception on
Monday evening, allowing you to capitalize on sharing knowledge with ot=
her
members.
 
Business Technology
Join us for the Fall Business Technology Process Group meeting! All fou=
r
Interest Groups within the Business Technology (Archiving, Electronic
Commerce, Technical, and Workflow), will be represented at the meeting.=
 
There will be breakout sessions within each of these Interest Groups to=
 
discuss a wide range of e-Business needs. Due to the increased focus in=
 
today's marketplace on in e-Commerce and the Internet, this meeting wil=
l
address e-Business ranging from how the front end works, to how to tie =
it
back to SAP, and what to do with it there.  The Business Technology and=
 
Procurement Process Groups will be holding a joint session with SAP
support; please stay tuned to asug.com for additional details.
 
Procurement
The Procurement Group meeting will address the following issues:
*eProcurement - How do you transition to eProcurement?  How can you
leverage the power of the Internet?
*Business to Business - How can you streamline the procurement link of =
your
Supply Chain?  How can businesses partner with each other in the
procurement area?
*Inventory Management - What are best practices in the area of inventor=
y
management?
*SAP New Functionality - What is available in release 4.6?  How will
mySAP.com impact the procurement area?
