Workflow Copy and Transport

Diane,
I would go with the SAP theory that you should use TS (Standard Task) and WS
(Workflow template), I don't know how feasible it would be in your setup as
both of these are client-independent, therefore what you create in your
'test' client will be available in your 'master' client without the need for
copying or rebuilding.

Another reason to do so is that SAP are discouraging the use of
client-dependent/customer task types, in fact they aren't even available in
later versions. Gimme a sec, I'll see if I can dig out some OSS notes.....
ah, found 'em:
114811 WS workflows versus WF workflows - pretty in-depth
125400 Modifying a productive Workflow - also good stuff, this will give you
an idea of the feasibility of using client-independent development

Subject: Workflow Copy and Transport

We are currently getting ready to go-live with our first customer developed
workflow. We have built it twice in our development boxes. The way we
work, we have to place the workflow in the master client, same box as the
development box, this requires rebuilding or copying. Next we will
transport the workflow to the test box and then release transport to
production. We want to copy the workflow to the master client and transport
to the test client. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and how to copy
from one client to another?
