*for advanced pre-doctoral and post-doctoral trainees*

We are happy to announce that applications are now being accepted for 
the 2016 IMPACT program. Based on the successful pilot run last year, 
the program will provide group interdisciplinary mentorship with teams 
from academia, medicine, and industry, to help participants focus their 
research ideas and career goals.

Participants will be challenged to:
-  explore and defend the real world impact of their research
-  develop the capacity to talk about their work and themselves to 
diverse audiences
-  increase their appreciation for different career paths, and for the 
mechanisms through which research progresses from lab to real world impact
-  build, support, and use diverse professional networks
-  craft pro-active strategies for their personal career development.

Participants will leave with a clearer definition of the impact of their 
work, and will have expanded their professional network in ways that 
will help them for years to come.
