Short remarks will be given by:
Kevin Knobloch, president of the Union of Concerned Scientists, brings
30 years of experience in legislative policy, media, and advocacy to his
job as leader of the Union of Concerned Scientists. He is knowledgeable
about a wide range of environmental and arms control issues, including
natural resource and clean energy economics, advanced technology
vehicles, nuclear weapons, forest conservation, renewable energy, and
corporate responsibility.
James Hoyte, Union of Concerned Scientists board member, is the
assistant to the president/associate vice president for Equal
Opportunity Programs, lecturer in environmental sciences and public
policy at Harvard College, and adjunct lecturer in public policy at the
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Mr. Hoyte is a
lawyer who has served as Secretary of Environmental Affairs for
Massachusetts and as chair of the Massachusetts Water Resources
Authority.
We hope you will be able to join us for this exciting event. Hors
d'oeuvres and an open bar will be provided. There will be free door
prizes and other give-aways. We want to learn about your research and
policy interests and give you an opportunity to share our
policy-relevant experience.
