[Macpartners] VirusScan 8.6 for Mac OS X Release Announcement

Good afternoon,

Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce  
support
for VirusScan 8.6 for Mac OS X users.

VirusScan 8.6 is for all Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.4 or  
later.


Notable Features
----------------
New features include:
* Support for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
* McAfee's latest virus detection engine (5200)

Who Should Upgrade to VirusScan 8.6?
------------------------------------
IS&T recommends that all Macintosh users running Mac OS X 10.4 or later
should upgrade to VirusScan 8.6.

Known Issues
------------
None.

System Requirements for VirusScan 8.6
-------------------------------------
VirusScan 8.6 requires a PowerPC or Intel-based Macintosh running Mac  
OS X
10.4 or Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).

Recommendation to Wait (Leopard)
--------------------------------------------
IS&T recommends that you WAIT and not upgrade to Leopard until IS&T
announces full support for Leopard early this year. If you have a new
Macintosh with Leopard already preinstalled, IS&T will provide limited
support.
