[Macpartners] Mac SAPgui 7.10 Rev 1.2 Available

Good afternoon,

Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce the
release of Mac SAPgui 7.10 Revision 1.2 (SAPgui 7.10 R1.2) for
Macintosh users.

SAPgui 7.10 R1.2 is the first version to support Macintosh computers
running Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5.1 or later) as well as Tiger (Mac OS X
10.4.9 or later). In addition, SAPgui 7.10 R1.2 supports both versions
of the operating system on PowerPC-based Macintoshes and Intel-based
Macintoshes alike.

RECOMMENDATION TO CONTINUE WAITING (LEOPARD)
--------------------------------------------
IS&T recommends that you WAIT and not upgrade to Leopard until full
support is announced early this year. If you have a new Macintosh with
Leopard already preinstalled, IS&T will provide limited support.

NOTABLE FEATURES OF SAPgui 7.10 R1.2
------------------------------------
* Support for Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5.1 or later)
* "Field History" - the ability to easily select and re-enter a value
  that you had previously entered in the same field
  (This is a Windows SAPgui feature that is new in the Mac SAPgui.)
* An improved interface for setting user preferences

SAPgui 7.10 R1.2 includes fixes for bugs found in earlier versions.

WHO SHOULD UPGRADE TO SAPgui 7.10 R1.2?
---------------------------------------
Users of older versions of the Mac SAPgui on Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later
should upgrade to SAPgui 7.10 R1.2.

Users of Macintoshes running Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) accessing SAPgui
for Windows via Citrix should consider upgrading to Mac SAPgui 7.10,
unless the user needs to use the iXOS viewer (for example, to view
images of invoices or billing documents).

Both Mac SAPgui 7.00 Rev 3 and Mac SAPgui 7.10 Rev 1.2 are compatible
with SAP ERP 2005, MIT's current version of SAP.

SAPgui 7.10 R1.2 System Requirements

* A PowerPC or Intel Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.4.9 or
  Mac OS X 10.5.1 (or later)
* Java Runtime J2SE 5.0 Release 4 or later
* At least 512 MB of built-in RAM Memory (more RAM is recommended)
* At least 125 MB free disk space for installation
