The Associate Dean of Research, Operations, and Faculty Development develops and implements research and innovation strategies for the Deese College<https://www.ncat.edu/cobe/index.php> and supports leadership and faculty to enhance the College's research and scholarship portfolio. As a member of the dean's senior leadership team, the Associate Dean provides executive management advice to the interdisciplinary research and scholarship enterprises within the College as well as working with university partners to more seamlessly integrate research and academic innovations.
The Associate Dean of Research, Operations, and Faculty Development works closely with the Dean to develop and coordinate the school's annual academic and operating planning process, forecast and predict resource requirements for new and existing programs, and develop strategies for improvement. The position collects, analyzes, and reports data essential to development and refinement of innovative and impactful academic programming.
The College of Business and Economics is one of eight academic units (Colleges and Schools) at the University. Located in Greensboro, NC, North Carolina A&T State University is a public, doctoral/research, 1890 land-grant university committed to exemplary teaching and learning, scholarly and creative research, and effective engagement and public service.
The College of Business and Economics has five academic departments-Accounting and Finance; Business Information Systems and Analytics; Economics; Management; and Marketing and Supply Chain and currently enrolls approximately 1,950 undergraduate and graduate students. The College offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Accountancy (MACC) degree. The business and accounting programs are both accredited by AACSB International-the business programs since 1979 and the accounting program since 1986. The most recent reaffirmation of accreditation occurred in 2021 A faculty of over 75 (70 tenured or tenure-track) teach in the academic departments, providing quality teaching and learning supported by relevant research and service.
