Position Announcement:  Non-Tenure Track Assistant Teaching Professor Position in Supply Chain & Analytics at the University of Missouri – St. Louis



The Supply Chain & Analytics (SC&A) Department in the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor full-time position, beginning Fall 2025. The University of Missouri-St. Louis is an urban public research university located in suburban St. Louis. It is part of the four-campus University of Missouri system and is located in Missouri’s most populous and economically vibrant region. The College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB and provides a supportive environment for teaching, research, and service. The SC&A Department teaches undergraduate and master’s level courses and houses the College’s PhD Program in Supply Chain & Analytics.

St. Louis is a major metropolitan area that features a variety of cultural and recreational activities and moderate living costs. It has a vibrant industry with companies in various sectors providing numerous opportunities for business engagement and applied research The SC&A Advisory Board consists of leading global and local firms, and provides valuable support for the Department’s programs, students and faculty. Essential tasks of this NTT Assistant Teaching Professor position include teaching undergraduate and graduate Supply Chain & Analytics courses, including but not limited to Introduction to Supply Chain Management, Global Supply Chain Management, and Business Analytics, etc. The candidate will also provide service to the department and the college, including the SC&A Department’s student engagement, community outreach activities, and serving in the College’s committees.

Ideal candidates will have a doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited university before the start date. Candidates with a master’s degree and extensive industry experience are also acceptable. We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about teaching and care about students’ success.

Requirements:

• A doctoral or master’s degree in a directly related field from an AACSB-accredited institution or an accredited engineering program by August 2025.

• A strong record of, or demonstrated potential for, effectively teaching courses in supply chain management, operations management, and business analytics, etc.

• Experience and commitment in student engagement and community outreach activities.



Preferred qualifications:

• Relevant business or professional experience in agribusiness and/or healthcare industries.

• Active research and scholar activities

• Experience teaching undergraduate or graduate classes.
