SKEMA Business School (https://www.skema.edu/) is participating in the European URBANE project supported by the CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. URBANE is a multidisciplinary project that aims to co-develop novel last mile delivery solutions combining green automated vehicles and shared delivery space utilization models.

Within the URBANE project, SKEMA has a vacancy for one full-time post-doctoral researcher. SKEMA contributes to the definition of business models and their commercialisation that will be deployed in four European pilot cities to guarantee the sustainability of the venture and ensure real societal, economic impact.

The selected candidate will work with Associate Professor Miguel Suarez and will be based at SKEMA Sophia Antipolis campus.

Within the framework of the URBANE project, the postdoctorant will elaborate a business plan for the proposed last-mile solution, including:

  *   A proposed timeline as well as forecast of the financial statements and a study of the market characteristics, potential rivals, regulatory issues that might arise in the application of the project.
  *   A detailed description of the revenue model which explains how the different stakeholders will benefit from it.
  *   A description of the business model(s) and the different components demonstrating how logistic operators, public authorities, real estate developers, and automated delivery vehicle operators will benefit.
  *   A PESTEL analysis including impact assessment on urban population.
  *   Exploitation plans that will focus on identifying market opportunities, monitoring the state of-the-art and competition, seeking collaborations with related stakeholders to create synergies, and attracting/involving stakeholders into the project in an effort to pave the way to the market.

A key output of the mission will be scientific articles of publishable level in peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications must include:

  *   PhD in Management Science.
  *   Publication record in one or several of the following areas: city logistics, last-mile business models, mobility as a service and/or logistics outsourcing.
  *   Fluent in English.
  *   Experience in interaction with city logistics stakeholders (city government, 3PLs, real estate developers).
