This is a reminder of the deadline for the following is 31st May 2010.

Applications are invited for the position of Regional Editor (North America, Central & South America, Africa and Asia) of Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management<http://www.emeraldinsight.com/jhlscm.htm> (JHLSCM). The journal is due to publish its inaugural issue next year, in 2011.

The Regional Editor's role will involve:

 - promoting the journal at relevant conferences in the region, attended by the Regional Editor
- promoting the journal to interested colleagues and contacts

- sourcing papers from this region (5-10 per year)

- sourcing special issue proposals from this region

- identifying potential reviewers and supplying details to the Editorial team, based at Hanken School of Economics, Finland

The Editors of JHLSCM, Professor Karen Spens and Dr. Gyöngyi Kovács manage an efficient double blind peer review process, so we would ask the Regional Editor to forward papers (along with the contact details of suggested reviewers) to them. The papers would then go through the Editors' peer review process and be tracked on their system.

Applications should include:
 A current CV

A brief covering letter, describing:


 *   previous editorial experience

·         a list of publications, highlighting those relevant to the journal

·         an outline of how you would like to develop the journal

·         what the applicant can bring to the journal in terms of experience and personal qualities

·           anticipated conference attendance in 2010 and 2011

Two academic references (or referee contact details)

The closing date for applications is 31st May 2010
