[Logprofs] Logprofs Administrivia Update

Dear Logprofs:

As you may have been noticing, there have been a few changes to the old logprofs
system of late.  In August, the IT folks at MIT migrated the logprofs list
from the old "listserv" software to their newer "mailman" software. This seems
to have gone fairly smoothly, and the logprof rules remain the same, i.e.,
anyone can join, anyone can post, it's all free, etc.

There are some new features of interest:

1. It now (finally...) appears possible to post with attachments.

2. The list now has an archive of previous messages which can be found at
           http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/logprofs

3. If you have a posting, please send it directly to logprofs at mit.edu
That way I can bounce it to the list, and it will show up with your name as the 
 sender rather than mine.
