                        CSCMP Call for Case Proposals

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) is soliciting
proposals for the development of cases for its ever-expanding on-line case
library. The Council is seeking cases that explore any supply chain related
topic, including but not limited to successful implementation of supply chain
initiatives, collaboration, use of technology in supply chains, relationship
development, supply chain performance measures, and supply management.

Case Proposals must include the following information:
   * An overview or synopsis of the case.
   * Clear identification of the main focus or decision point of the case.
   * Identification of the internal and external issues that will be summarized
in the case.
   * An explanation of the main learning objectives of the case and the value it
offers to CSCMP members. It is particularly important to demonstrate how the
case covers issues related to SCM.
   * Appropriate audiences for the case.
   * An estimated timeline for writing of the case.
   * Author contact information.
Case Proposals will be reviewed by members of the Council's Educational
Strategies Committee (ESC) and reviewers designated by the ESC. Authors will
be notified within 90 days of the deadline of either the acceptance or
rejection of their case proposal.

Authors with accepted proposals will be paid $3,000 for the completed case and
teaching note, provided the case is completed by December 31, 2007 and meets
the guidelines established by CSCMP for acceptable cases and teaching notes. A
payment schedule will be determined at the time of agreement for those authors
with accepted proposals.

Once completed, the case will be added to CSCMP's on-line case library.
However, authors will be allowed to submit their cases to peer-reviewed
journals or include them in books as long as the Council's support for the
development of the case is noted.

Case guidelines can be found at CSCMPs web site at the following web address:

Case proposals should be single-spaced, limited to 5 pages, and saved as a Word
document. Case Proposals should be electronically submitted to Chris Moberg,
Ohio University, at <mailto:moberg at ohio.edu>moberg at ohio.edu by October 10,
2006.
