IDEAS Competition IAP Design Challenge:
Invent a new gizmo to process manioc/cassava and win a $250 prize.

The <http://www.iita.org/crop/cassava.htm>manioc (also called cassava,
yuca, arrowroot and tapioca) is a staple food crop of many countries. It is
also a significant element of an MIT project to reduce deforestation and
produce a clean-burning cooking fuel that could improve the health of
millions of people. In both Haiti and Ghana, the current methods of
processing cassava are dangerous, hard work, and extremely time-consuming.
This IAP, can you invent a device to help?

We will provide basic materials, expert advice, and fun events. You bring
the ideas!

Jan 6 Design Challenge Kick-Off 11:00am-1:30pm, 4-402
