Clients are advised the Association of Banks in Lebanon met on February 24
and in consultation with the Lebanese business community have agreed for
strike action and a total closure of banks on Monday February 28, 2005.


      Effective Date:February 28, 2005.


Details:
In accordance with Circular No. 57/2005 from the Association of Banks, a
decision has been made by all commercial banks to strike on Monday February
28, 2005, to coincide with a vote by Parliament as to whether there is
confidence in the current Lebanese Government.

JPMorgan will continue to monitor this event and apprise clients of any
further developments.
