a problem getting host ticket

well i am few of my friends are trying to setup a kerberos test bed in
our colleage as a part of a semseter paper that has to be submitted in
november....

we have used two comupters for this purpose one is a KDC called
EXAMPLE.COM...other is krb1.EXAMPLE.COM.
well the problem i am facing now is that when i logon initially to
krb1.EXAMPLE.COM and run klist i am only getting a ticket for the user
principal only but i am not getting a host/krb1.EXAMPLE.COM....
I have created a principal called host/krb1.EXAMPLE.COM and also
created a keytab enrty for the same locally that is in the
host/krb1.EXAMPLE.COM machine it self then also i am not getting.
when i run kinit -S host/krb1.EXAMPLE.COM
i am asked for a password...and i checked the log file in the kdc it
is also not registering any request for host ticket....well what can i
do???
any help will be nice...
