Hello,

The Graduate Student Council (GSC) is holding a family forum meeting next
Monday, November 16th at 7pm in the Eastgate penthouse lounge.  All students
with spouses and families, along with their spouses, are welcome to attend.
Dinner and babysitting will be provided.

The main purpose of this family forum is to discuss and address the needs
and concerns of MIT's graduate families and couples, both on- and
off-campus.  Some issues that will be discussed at Monday's meeting include
on-campus child care, maternity/paternity leave policies, and how to connect
the on-campus and off-campus family communities.  We would love to hear your
thoughts on these issues as well as others.  If you have any items you would
like to add to the agenda, please send them to gsc-hca at mit.edu.

In addition to discussing family concerns, the second purpose of this
meeting is to recruit a chairperson for the GSC's Family Subcommittee.  If
you are interested in this position, please let us know, either by email or
by attending the meeting.  More information on the subcommittee can be found
