*2008 MIT Career Fair Director Opportunity*
The GSC is looking for its next directors for the annual MIT Career
Fair. The Fair is:
- The largest of its kind in the country, attracting over 300
companies and 5000 students in 2007
- Entirely student-run through a partnership of GSC, the graduating
Class, and the Society of Women Engineers
- A large source of GSC's revenue for funding of graduate student
groups and activities.
If you're interested in bringing companies like Microsoft, Oracle,
Shell, Bridgewater Associates, Google, and AQR Capital to campus,
managing a large-scale campus event or if you have any questions,

*Difficult Conversations - How to Discuss What Matters Most*
Come to a training and practice session on how get through those
difficult conversations - handling a conflict with an advisor, a
disagreement with a girl/boyfriend, an exchange with a professor.
Discover proven techniques on how to discuss what really matters most.

A delicious dinner will be provided.
Our guide and presenter is:
MIT's Francine Crystal - who specializes in helping with these
difficult conversations and has given training sessions on this topic
to many groups here at MIT.

Scott Resource Group has been commissioned by ten employers to conduct a
survey/focus group at MIT as part of a 21-school study to guage
students' opinions regarding the use of recruitment technology tools.
Topics include online apps and assessments, social networking
sites (e.g. Facebook), virtual recruiting and Second Life avatars!
Students who have been pursuing full-time employment can participate.
Upon completion of a separate e-survey filled out at your convenience,
you will receive a $50 gift certificate for Amazon.com.
