*2008 MIT Career Fair Director Opportunity*
The GSC is looking for its next directors for the annual MIT Career
Fair. The Fair is:
- The largest of its kind in the country, attracting over 300
companies and 5000 students in 2007
- Entirely student-run through a partnership of GSC, the graduating
Class, and the Society of Women Engineers
- A large source of GSC's revenue for funding of graduate student
groups and activities.
If you're interested in bringing companies like Microsoft, Oracle,
Shell, Bridgewater Associates, Google, and AQR Capital to campus,
managing a large-scale campus event or if you have any questions,

*Tax Seminar*
The GSC Tax Seminar will be held this evening from 6 - 8pm in room 32-141.
The information in this seminar is tailored for US Citizens and permanent
residents only. Fred Crowley of MIT Payroll will review the basics and
answer any questions that you may have about your taxes.
Pizza and drinks will be served.

10 teams... 2 hours... 1 race...are you up for it?
F1 Boston is high-speed, high-intensity go-karting at its best, and the GSC
is subsidizing a trip there in April! Here are the details:
What: Go-Karting at F1 Boston in Braintree (http://www.f1boston.com/)
When: Saturday, April 19th, 2:00-7:00 PM
Note: You can buy a ticket with bus transportation or without; buses will
leave at 1pm from MIT (location TBA)
Note #2: each graduate student may buy up to 1 guest ticket
Tickets:
With transportation: $30 for MIT grad students, $35 for guests
Without transportation: $25 for MIT grad students, $30 for guests

"Information to Know in the Transition from MIT to the Work Force"
MIT alumni and industry professionals will present 3 seminars this April
in the Sidney-Pacific Multipurpose Room.
Thursday, April 3, 6:30pm
Real Estate: This seminar will cover rental leases, rental/home insurance,
and home buying. Hear from a recent alumnus home buyer with great strategies
and tips for successfully renting and buying.
Monday, April 7, 6:30pm
Finances: This seminar will address insurance, savings, taxes, investing and
retirement plans. Get your questions answered on these important issues as
you prepare to start your career.
Monday, April 14, 6:30pm
Strengthening Business Communication: Learn how to organize your thoughts,
present confident non-verbals and polish your verbal effectiveness. Start
your new job with confidence and prepare to impress your colleagues.
The events are free, refreshments will be served, and spouses are welcome!
Registrants will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate for the MIT COOP.
A winner will be drawn at each seminar, and you must be present to win.
