The Graduate Career Development Team at the MIT Careers Office (MITCO)
has developed a listserv to deliver exciting career announcements
(sent by employers) ONLY to those grad students and post docs who want
to receive them. Join this listserv, and you will receive emails on a
weekly or bi-monthly basis (Sep through May only) alerting you to

DETAILS:
Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres) is an internationally-
based, non-governmental organization providing humanitarian and medical
relief in over 70 countries around the world.

A week-long event at MIT and Harvard to sponsor this organization is
being held with talks given by doctors who have worked for Doctors Without
Borders, screenings of the film Invisibles, and an informational booth
available on the MIT campus during the first two days of the event.

*Visit the Peabody Essex Museum*

Peabody Essex Museum
Sun Oct 21st, 11am-4:30pm
Just $5/person

Halloween is approaching and it's the time of year when the town of Salem
acquires much attraction, and GSC and Ashdown are making a trip to the
Peabody Essex Museum affordable.  If you are interested, please email
ashdown-cultural at mit.edu. Space is limited.

The plan is to meet on Sun at 11am in Ashdown; from there the group
will take the T/commuter rail to Salem.  Return time will be ~4:30pm.

*First Annual International Technology Conference*

DATES:
Fri Nov 9th - Mon Nov 12th
Apply by Oct 24th

DETAILS:
The 1st Annual International Technology Conference will be held November
9-12, 2007 at MIT through a partnership between GSC and delta e.V.
and others.

This conference will increase interaction between academia/industry around
the world, advance of technology, and increase intercultural exchange.

This year's conference will focus on RFID Technology and the airline industry,
with students and faculty from MIT and KIT (Germany) and executives from
Lufthansa and McKinsey & Co.
