*GSC Elections - Get involved for the coming year*

The elections for 2007-07 GSC Officers (President, Vice-President,
Secretary and Trasurer) will take place at the April General Council
Meeting on April 4, 5pm. For more info, see the present nominees, and
get nominated (before March 28), visit:

There are still committee chair positions available. Elections are
coming up in the coming weeks (see below).

Orientation Committee (OC): get involved in the organization of the 2007
Graduate Orientation! For more information, contact gsc-oc at mit.edu.
Elections will take place at the next OC meeting, April 2, 6-7pm.

Academics, Research and Careers (ARC) committee: get involved in the
committee on professional development and advocate for academically
oriented issues. For more info, contact gsc-arc at mit.edu. Elections TBA.

Graduate Student News (GSN): get involved in the magazine written for
graduate students by graduate students. For more info, contact
gsn-editor at mit.edu. Elections TBA (probably the week of 4/8).

*MIT Communication Survey*

MIT is interested in conducting research in order to better understand
issues of importance to the MIT community and the best communications
techniques for connecting with members of the community, including
students, faculty, staff and alumni. The information gained from this
research will be used to inform communications plans.

Communications methods: questions of opinion and perception about
effective methods, resonance with audiences - i.e., what methods/
publications do members of the MIT community use to gather information
about MIT, what vehicles/methods would they prefer? Communications
content: Questions of opinion and perception about matters of importance
