*MIT Career Fair 2006*

The 2006 MIT Career Fair will take place on Thursday, September 21,
11am-5pm in Johnson Athletic Center. The resume submission deadline is
TONIGHT 11:59pm:

*GSC Publications and Publicity Meeting*

Do you want to get involved in the Graduate Student Council? Do you want
to write for the Graduate Student News? Join the GSC Publications and
Publicity (P&P) Committee and be in the middle of all the action!

The first P&P meeting this semester will take place this Thursday,
September 21, 4:15-5:15pm in the GSC Office (50-220). Dinner will be
served.

*Graduate Assistant for MIT Public Service Center*

The MIT IDEAS Competition (IDEAS) and the Public Service Fellowships
program are opportunities offered by the MIT Public Service Center (PSC)
to enable MIT students to serve communities worldwide in practical and
creative ways.  IDEAS is an initiative that engages student teams in
invention and design for community benefit. The Public Service
Fellowships program provides financial support and guidance that enables
MIT students to do intensive, capacity-building work in communities

The Graduate Assistant will work under the supervision of Alison Hynd,
PSC IDEAS/Fellowships Coordinator.  The main responsibilities will be to
a) manage event planning and logistics, b) assist with publicity, c)
develop documentation materials, and d) assist with developing
fundraising materials. The job will require some evening hours, but
otherwise the schedule is flexible, averaging 15-20 hours per week.

We are seeking a candidate with strong communication skills, the ability
to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, familiarity with
Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Please send a resume and cover letter by
