1. Join the GradRat Committee
GradRat - Official MIT Graduate Ring Committee
The GradRat committee, part of the GSC, will work over the year to promote
the ring through many events using its own marketing budget. The tasks of
the committee are:
Artistic:
- Maintain the department/program icons
Events:
- "Premiere" during Orientation (introduce the GradRat to new students)
- Delivery events
- Ring ordering days (mostly taken care of by Balfour)
- A $20K+ budget
- Maintain the website of the GradRat
Rewards:
- The ring committee gets discounts on their own GradRat
We need at least 3, preferably 5, members in the committee!

2. ASA Elections
This GBM will be the elections meeting. Eight positions in the ASA
Execboard are up for election:
President
Treasurer
Secretary
Undergraduate Member at Large (2x)
Graduate Member at Large (2x)
Student Member at Large (1x)
Please contact the ASA Executive Board with any nominations (of yourself
or others) via <asa-exec at mit.edu>. Nominations are open until a vote is
called, but it is best to have candidates before the meeting. The only
requirement to be part of the ASA Execboard is to be an MIT student
during the 2004-2005 academic year. For descriptions of the positions
please visit the ASA Webpage and read the constitution.

S P E C I A L A N N O U N C E M E N T S
1. Meet the GSC Officer Candidates
We're planning on holding a small "meet the candidates" social tomorrow
(tuesday) night at 8pm in the GSC Office. If you'd like to meet some of
the students who are running for next year's officer positions, and get a
head start on prioritizing the issues you are interested in seeing the GSC
pursue in 2004-2005, please stop by to get to know them.

2. Tax information for International Students
We have just put the handouts of the tax workshops on the GSC website. I
hope they would be helpful for people who missed the talk or couldn't get a
handout.

3. Spring Weekend
April's right around the corner, and that means it's time for
MIT SPRING WEEKEND
(The weekend of pure fun, on the Institute's tab)

4. Become a On-Campus Dorm Leader
Two great opportunities:
a.) Ashdown House Officer Applications Open to All Graduate Students

Ashdown House executive committee (AHEC). It is
a wonderful opportunity to join an exciting and active graduate
community. There are a variety of positions available.

b.) Sidney-Pacific Officer Applications Open to All Graduate Students
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About 30 volunteers will be selected to become Committee Chairs at
Sidney-Pacific to help manage building resources,
program social events, disseminate information, and foster community
relations. Examples of specific committee chair
positions include Information Technology, Brunch, SPTV, Outreach, A/V,
Publicity, Newsletter, Social, Athletics. The complete
listing of committees is available online at http://s-p.mit.edu
ELIGIBILITY: Anyone eligible to live in Sidney-Pacific next year may apply
(all graduate students, members of Kappa Alpha
Theta who will be living in S-P next year, and prospective senior segues).
