1. <i><u>Join the GradRat Committee<br><br>
</u></i>GradRat - Official MIT Graduate Ring Committee<br><br>
The GradRat committee, part of the GSC, will work over the year to
promote <br>
the ring through many events using its own marketing budget. The
tasks of <br>
the committee are:<br><br>
Artistic:<br>
- Maintain the department/program icons<br>
Events:<br>
- "Premiere" during Orientation (introduce the
GradRat to new students)<br>
- Delivery events<br>
- Ring ordering days (mostly taken care of by Balfour)<br>
- A $20K+ budget<br>
- Maintain the website of the GradRat<br>
Rewards:<br>
- The ring committee gets discounts on their own
GradRat<br><br>
We need at least 3, preferably 5, members in the committee!<br>

2. <i><u>ASA Elections<br><br>
</u></i>This GBM will be the elections meeting. Eight positions in the
ASA<br>
Execboard are up for election:<br>
President<br>
Treasurer<br>

Undergraduate Member at Large (2x)<br>
Graduate Member at Large (2x)<br>
Student Member at Large (1x)<br><br>
Please contact the ASA Executive Board with any nominations (of

or others) via <asa-exec@mit.edu>. Nominations are open until a
vote is<br>
called, but it is best to have candidates before the meeting. The
only<br>
requirement to be part of the ASA Execboard is to be an MIT student<br>
during the 2004-2005 academic year. For descriptions of the

candidates" social tomorrow <br>
(tuesday) night at 8pm in the GSC Office. If you'd like to meet

the students who are running for next year's officer positions, and get a

head start on prioritizing the issues you are interested in seeing the
GSC <br>
pursue in 2004-2005, please stop by to get to know them.<br><br>

About 30 volunteers will be selected to become Committee Chairs at Sidney-Pacific to help manage building resources,<br>
program social events, disseminate information, and foster community relations. Examples of specific committee chair<br>
positions include Information Technology, Brunch, SPTV, Outreach, A/V, Publicity, Newsletter, Social, Athletics. The complete<br>
