G++ make failure

Thanks for the clue.

It turned out that gnu isn't installed but this was the default within the
makefile in the examples.
Simple error, but hopefully this will help another novice sometime.

Well, it's just a suggestion, but have you tried with gmake (gnu-make)
instead
of make ? I haven't tested galib on anything else of gnu environments and I
should have a closer look at the examples makefiles to be sure of that. But
eventually you may test it ;)
