Hi everyone,

This week's hydrology seminar will be held on Friday 2nd November at 3pm in
room 48-308.

The presentation will be given by Dr Tissa Illangasekare, AMAX Distinguished
Chair of Environmental Science and Engineering and Professor of Civil
Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines.

Dr Illangasekare is also Director of the University/Industry/National
Laboratory collaborative Center for the Experimental Study of Subsurface
Environmental Processes and is currently serving as a Director of Hydrologic
Sciences Program at the National Science Foundation in Arlington, VA.

The title of Dr Illangasekare's talk is:

"Intermediate scale testing for process understanding, model validation and
upscaling of flow and transport in heterogeneous subsurface systems."

An abstract of his presentation and a brief CV is attached.

Hoping to see you there,

Rebecca
