Title: "The Car and Fuel of the Future"
Speaker: Dr. Joseph Romm
Date: September 19, 2005
Time: 12:15 PM
Place: E40-496
Sponsor: Laboratory for Energy and the Environment
Abstract:
The need for rational energy policy aimed at reducing oil use and
greenhouse gas emissions has become increasingly urgent. This talk

and why the "fuel" of the future is electricity, not hydrogen.
Biography:
Dr. Joseph Romm has worked extensively on clean energy technologies,
both in and out of the government. He recently authored the report,
"The Car and Fuel of the Future: A Technology and Policy Overview,"

Hype About Hydrogen: Fact and Fiction in the Race to Save the
Climate," named one of the best science and technology books of 2004
by "Library Journal."
