MIT EDITORS' CLUB
*Meeting Notes from April 14, 2015*
*Video/Photo Permissions*
Mark your calendars for May 19, when Communication Production Services (CPS) will host a presentation on best practices with video/photo permissions. Bara Blender of CPS notes that an official notification will be coming soon, and that the presentation will include representatives from MIT's Office of the General Counsel<http://ogc.mit.edu>. This is a perennial topic for this club, so I expect that this presentation will be well-attended.
CPS is also working on a revised permissions form. In the meantime, the group maintains a page on Usage and Permissions <http://web.mit.edu/cps/photos-usage.html> for your reference.
*MIT Drupal Cloud*
Support for <http://drupalcloud.mit.edu> MIT Drupal Cloud<http://drupalcloud.mit.edu/> was a hot topic at the meeting. Robyn Fizz and Monique Buchanan, both from IS&T, agreed to inform IS&T leadership about the issues Editors Club members have had in customizing Drupal Cloud websites and in getting help when they had questions. IS&T is now evaluating how it can better support the MIT Drupal Cloud community and will send a detailed response to the Editors' Club in two weeks.
Meanwhile, novice users of MIT Drupal Cloud may want to take a look at the MIT Drupal Cloud DLC theme<http://dlc-theme.mit.edu/> created by CPS. This theme has a structured set of styles and the website includes useful how-to guidelines.
*Thank You*
Many thanks to CPS for hosting this meeting in their conference room. And…many thanks to Eve Sullivan, who treated the group to Taza chocolate.
