Dear all:
Two editors/writers opps:
1. A grad student at Sloan was referred to me as he is seeking someone
to copyedit his thesis. I used to do this, but am out flat with other
stuff so I offered to spread the word. Of course, he is willing to pay
a fee. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please
reply to me and I will forward to him.
2. This is a bit obscure, but a former faculty member of my department
who is now at Georgia Tech is looking for a "technical writer"
contractor to assist him with various projects. This person would need
to be in proximity to his school as he/she would be expected to attend
meetings and other activities. Yes, I suggested he confer with his
school's communications people, but, for some reason, he is wary of
doing that - guess he's more comfy with MIT types (snicker). So, on
the off chance that you know someone down south who might be
interested and appropriate, please let me know and I'll place them in
touch with each other.
Thanks much.
Best,
Bill
"I know what you're thinking, punk," hissed Wordy Harry to his new
editor, "you're thinking, 'Did he use six superfluous adjectives or
only five?' - and to tell the truth, I forgot myself in all this
excitement; but being as this is English, the most powerful language
in the world, whose subtle nuances will blow your head clean off,
you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -
well do you, punk?" - Stuart Vasepuru, 2006 Bulwer-Lytton Fiction
