Hi Hyoeun,

I hope your research is going well. Do you need the ECCO2 dataset only? I
have worked with the ECCOv4r4 dataset for the majority part of my Ph.D. I
will attempt to help you with your question as much as I can do.

Have you tried this dataset server yet? ECCO-DATA-PORTAL
<https://data.nas.nasa.gov/ecco/llc_4320/grid/>
Or, this one? ECCO-EARTHDATA SEARCH
<https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search/granules?p=C1991543765-POCLOUD&pg[0][v]=f&pg[0][gsk]=-start_date&fpj=ECCO>.
This is by far the most user friendly dataset to work with. I am just
putting sea ice velocity data as an example but you will find plenty of
other climate variables.

I want to share another approach that I have used plenty of time at the end
of my Ph.D because it is going to save a tremendous amount of time while
you download your data for any specific variable. I am adding the
*ECCO-data-downloader.ipynb* file in this email. I have added some example
variable download code for you. You can simply change the time range or the
variable name according to your preference. This is the best way to
download data. But you will have to run in the same ECCO-v4-Python-Tutorial
directory
<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TjYtuKlzxiENR9yROsIPC4Kr-yVrrha3?usp=drive_link>
(I have shared the entire directory with you).

I hope it answers your question. Feel free to reply back to me if you have
any other questions.
