[ecco-support] question about Fekete river forcing for ECCO v4

Hi all, does anyone know origin of ECCOv4 river forcing file?
In particular is smoothing procedure applied to it described anywhere?

It’s a monthly-mean climatology, but super-smoothed, see attachment.
Don’t know if smoothing function or procedure is described anywhere.
