I suppose, you decide whether a shop system like osCommerce or a digital repository is better suited to your basic needs. 

If a repository is your way to go, DSpace will be a good choice. Then, decide whether to connect DSpace with a shop or export to a shop or extend DSpace itself. I dont know about examples with epayment integration in DSpace.
