Happy week before spring break! As you may know, we’re DormCon<https://dormcon.mit.edu/>, the student government organization that presides over MIT’s undergraduate dorms. We wanted to write to you with some important actionables related to food-related surveys on campus, hosting for CPW, and forms related to housing. Dining Surveys

A lot of exciting things are happening with campus dining in the next few months!

  *   Launchpad Survey<https://mit.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3Qz7yvBm6D5Lizs>: We are sharing this on behalf of MIT Dining, who wants to know which

restaurants in the Launchpad (the second floor of the Student Center–BibimBox, Carolicious, and Tawakal) people frequent the most and why. With the recent announcement of Concord Market<https://www.concordmarketoncampus.com/> coming to W20, we hope to better understand how frequently students are using Commonwealth Kitchen Launchpads and how the Launchpads are serving student needs.

If you want to procrastinate studying for your midterms with more surveys to fill out, we have a couple more important, dining-related forms for you!

Friday (March 22nd) and you can win one of fifty $25 TechCash gift cards, and the results will be used to inform the future direction of MIT dining.

looking for more information about what would help you eat better on campus.

CPW Host Sign-up

The Admissions office is still looking for students to host adMITs for Campus Preview Weekend (CPW), which is happening April 11-14. If you have some space in your room, please consider signing up to host one of the ~1000 prefrosh who will visit by filling out the registration form here<https://apply.mitadmissions.org/register/cpwhosts> before March 24. By being a registered host, you can request a FREE air mattress to host prefrosh on that you can keep even after CPW is over. In addition to hosting adMITted students, dorms will be running many events, so be sure to check with your dorm to see how you can get involved!

Housing Updates

With regards to housing, below are some important deadlines to keep an eye out for!

The first is for canceling on-campus housing – cancellation is completely free as long as it is done before 5/16. That being said, we strongly encourage canceling housing  even earlier if you know your plans have changed to help your dorm government plan accordingly for the upcoming year. After 5/16, cancellation fees increase according to the table below.

The second deadline is for requesting on-campus housing for the summer – if you are interested, this is a reminder to please complete the application in your Housing Portal<https://mit.starrezhousing.com/StarRezPortalX/Login?returnUrl=%2FStarRezPortalX%2F1C984EB9%2F1%2F1%2FHome-Home%3FUrlToken%3D32C2BA62&isContact=False> by noon today, 3/20.

Finally, you can also request an extension of your spring housing, in case you need to stay on campus for a few extra days after the end of finals. The deadline to fill out this form in your Housing Portal is Wednesday, April 17th at noon.
