Can you please send around this course description to students in your departments? I anticipate this being a popular class to take during the upcoming presidential election!
Thanks much,

Course description:
Taught by Prof. Charles Stewart (Political Science’s elections specialist) Elections by the Numbers is a hands-on, project-based class that encourages students to follow the 2020 election through the lens of quantitative analysis of election data. Topics to be covered include election reform, election administration, election modeling, voter fraud, public opinion, and gerrymandering. Students will learn to acquire and analyze both administrative election data and data about public opinion. During the first half of the class, topics will be introduced through a combination of reading, lectures, and group projects. After Election Day, teams will tackle a self-identified topic that arises from the conduct of the 2020 election. Prior experience with programming or statistical software (R, Stata, etc.) is helpful but not required. Those who are not proficient with managing large datasets and using statistical software at the beginning of the semester will be so at the end. Grading will be based on class participation, presentations, and brief project write-ups.
Best,
