----------------------------------------------

(1) Reminder: General Body Meeting April 2nd, 6-7:30 PM, 32-123

The spring ASA General Body Meeting will be Tuesday, April 2nd from 6-7:30 PM in 32-123.

Please arrive by 5:50pm so we can complete check-ins and start on time. Every student group is required to send a representative, with the exception of individual FSILGs, graduate dorms, and club sports; those groups’ governance groups must still attend. Groups that do not send a representative will incur a $50 fine and may be suspended or de-recognized if the group has repeatedly missed GBMs. Dinner will be served.

Inevitably, there will be conflicts for some people; remember that any member of your group can attend the GBM as long as they have the ‘GBM Proxy’ status on Engage! (Visit your roster to update roles.) Any member may check in for a group, and a member may check in for more than one group. However, only students listed as president, treasurer, group admin, or GBM proxy in the group's ASA Database entry may exercise the group's vote. Furthermore, nobody may exercise the vote of more than one group, and each group has only one vote even if they send multiple representatives.

**We will be electing new ASA executive board members at the meeting!**

Please come to the GBM if you intend on running for a position or if you have questions about what each of the positions entail. (Bring any friends who are interested in joining the board as well!)

The responsibilities of the ASA board positions can be found here: <goo.gl/pyv2oD>

More information on the ASA Election process can be found at <http://web.mit.edu/asa/about/elections.html>. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at <asa-exec at mit.edu >.

----------------------------------------------

(2) LEF/ARCADE Late Deadline (3/23/2019)

The deadline to submit LATE applications to the Large Event Fund (LEF) and the Assisting Recurring Cultural And Diversity Events (ARCADE) Fund Spring Cycle is Saturday, March 23rd at 11:59PM EST. This deadline is for events occurring between April 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019.

Please use this link to apply: <https://engage.mit.edu/submitter/form/start/253893>.

More information about eligibility for these funds is available online: <http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/large-events.html>.

You are encouraged to meet with someone from the Student Activities Office to discuss your application, particularly if it is for a new event or you are making substantial changes to a recurring event. You MUST meet with the Student Activities Office to discuss an event if it will involve paying a speaker or performer.

Email <sao-desk at mit.edu> with any questions!

(3) CPW Midway Booth Application closes TOMORROW! (3/22/2019)

This year’s CPW Midway is April 13th from 1-3 PM at the Johnson Ice Rink. The application to reserve a booth for your student group closes TOMORROW at 11:59 PM! You can find the application here: <https://engage.mit.edu/submitter/form/start/253253>.

Any new group who has not yet received a page in the Engage system can email <asa-groups at mit.edu> with the information requested in the form and we will add in your request.

----------------------------------------------

(4) Bulletin board applications close TOMORROW! (3/22/2019)

Bulletin board space is opening up and the ASA is accepting applications from groups that are interested in having a reserved spot on the ASA boards. Applications for postering space will be open through TOMORROW at 11:59 PM. Existing groups do not need to worry about losing their current board space - these are inactive groups' spots opening up.

You can find the application here: <https://engage.mit.edu/submitter/form/start/256035>

Please be sure to read the ASA policies on postering, even if you aren’t interested in one of the reserved spaces! <http://web.mit.edu/asa/publicity/public-advertising-space.html>

----------------------------------------------

Please feel free to email <asa-exec at mit.edu> with any requests or questions.

Sincerely,
The ASA Executive Board
