Homer Ladas & Cristina Navarro-Ladas – Pittsburgh April
19-23

HOMER LADAS is an inventive enthusiast of the popular
"New Tango" school while also reflecting the traditional
roots of the dance.   He has been dancing tango obsessively
since 1997 and teaching full-time since 2002.   He focuses
on a fusion of open and close embrace tango ideologies
while emphasizing the social aspects of connection,
musicality, and floorcraft.  Homer also enjoys and works
hard at deejaying both traditional and alternative tango
mixes.  In addition, he is a founding member of the
non-profit group Project Tango which endeavors to promote
tango as a social dance and evolving art form in our world
culture while building and maintaining individual &
community integrity, balance, and respect.

As teachers, Homer and his wife Cristina are committed to
creating a positive class environment where small
epiphanies can & do occur in their students.   It has been
said, on more than one occasion, that few dancing couples
improvise with such skill, personality, and fluidity of
movement.   Married since May 2002 they continue to explore
deeper facets of their relationship to each other and to
tango.
