Three 2-hour workshops with Kara Wenham

7:00-9:00 pm for Leaders and Followers

on Thursdays: April 19th, April 26th and May 3rd

at Cafe Duvall

2257 W. 23rd Place, Chicago



As a teacher, Kara has developed a unique and codified methodology.
With a hands-on approach, a meticulous eye for detail and a love for
Tango that is contagious, Kara's padagogy is designed to empower the
student by giving them the tools needed for a solid technique,
connection, improvisation, musicality, and development of a personal
style.



 #1 - April 19th

Boleos - Linear & Circular

Structure and technique for clear, fluid & effortless boleos.



#2 - April 26th

Sacadas of the woman to the man

Make your leading and following of sacadas (displacements) dynamic and
clarify your technique for all types of sacadas - forward, backward and
side.



#3 - May 3rd

Ganchos in the Giro

Learn the principles of how to lead and follow ganchos (leg hooks) during the giro (grapevine turn) with ease and fluidity.



Pricing: Pre-register for all 3 workshops at $70 or $25 for an individual workshop. Drop-in pricing is $30 per workshop. 

Milonga Loca follows workshops; cover for milonga included in workshop
pricing (except on May 3rd, when there will be an additional fee for
live music).

54 Cermak Pink Line L Stop: Western. Go approx. 5 blocks south on
Western Ave. to 23rd Place, turn left and go 1 block east. Location is
on southeast corner, 2 doors east of corner; red door. 

Driving I-55, exit Damen, go north on Damen to Blue Island, turn left
and go past one stop sign to Oakley, turn right and go north 4 blocks.
When you enter Old Little Italy, start looking for parking.
