Hope you had a recharging break!

We wanted to share the information below about an event held by the Title IX Student Advisory Committee on why and how to write a comment on the proposed Title IX changes. I know it may seem far away from us but the changes will impact how MIT handles Title IX cases (sex discrimination, sexual harassment and assault, etc.) to some extent so it's important that we voice our opinions! We hope to see many of you there! Please share with anyone you think would be interested. The flyer is attached.

  *   Join the Title IX Student Advisory Committee to learn what Title IX is, how the proposed changes would affect MIT's policies, and how to let the Department of Education know what you think about the changes (in support or against) by participating in the public notice and comment period.
  *   Stop by any time to grab some snacks, learn more about the issues, and write your comments! We'll also have coffee and hot chocolate!
  *   If you can't stop by, check out our website http://t9tldr.mit.edu/ for more information on how to write and submit a comment.
  *   Title IX is a federal law which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex (including sexual assault and harassment) in any education program that receives federal funding.
